The expectation of all students is to take their final exams on the scheduled days. Unless extraordinary circumstances occur, students must take their exams during the scheduled time. Any student requesting permission to take an exam at an alternate time requires approval from Mr. Miller. Please understand that family trips and prescheduled vacations are not reasons for early exams. Only major, extraordinary events/circumstances are reasons for early finals.
Twenty-six Cherokee County School District high school rising juniors and seniors are spending this summer as student researchers through a partnership with Georgia’s National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center! Emory University’s Winship Cancer Institute, a CCSD Partner, made the student research positions available through its role as the Georgia Science Education Initiative’s National Cancer Institute GA YES (Youth Enjoy Science) Program site.
The Cherokee County School Board at its regular meeting and work session on Thursday, June 12, 2025, heard a report on efforts to further improve teaching and learning for next school year and appointed new school and district leaders.
